Make lunchtime fun and sustainable for your little ones! Follow our Beeswax-wrapped Sandwiches recipe tailored for kids. They'll love eating their way to a greener planet!
Take note
Please exercise caution when handling hot wax and sharp objects. Adult supervision is recommended.
First things first, let's make sure we have everything we need. Grab your favorite bread, fillings (like slices of ham, cheese, or veggies), and of course, some beeswax wraps. We'll also need a cutting board, a knife, and a baking sheet.
Now it's time to bring your sandwich creation to life! Lay a beeswax wrap on the cutting board and place a slice of bread on top. Layer on your chosen fillings and cover with another slice of bread. Fold the beeswax wrap over the sandwich and press down gently. Use your knife to trim any excess wrap.
To seal the beeswax wrap, place the wrapped sandwich on a baking sheet and pop it in the oven for a few minutes at a low temperature (around 150°C or 300°F) until the wax melts and seals the wrap. Be careful not to overheat and keep an eye on it!
Once the beeswax wrap has cooled down, your sandwich is ready to go! Pack it in a lunchbox with a reusable water bottle and some yummy snacks. Your kids will be excited to open their lunch and show off their eco-friendly sandwich!
