Get creative with our customizable Meatball Sub Sliders recipe! Choose your favorite toppings and sauces to make them uniquely yours!
Take note
Be careful when handling hot ingredients, and use caution when assembling the sliders.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well using your hands until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Make sure to rotate them occasionally for even browning.
Now comes the fun part! Gather a variety of toppings like sliced mozzarella cheese, fresh basil leaves, sautéed onions and peppers, pickles, or anything else that tickles your taste buds. Feel free to get creative and mix and match different flavors.
Slice a small baguette or dinner rolls into individual slider-sized portions. You can lightly toast the bread if desired.
Take a slider bun and spread a layer of marinara sauce or your favorite condiment on one side. Place a meatball on top and add your desired toppings. Finish it off with another dollop of sauce and the top bun.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the assembled sliders on it. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through. Serve hot and enjoy!
