1

Bake the cupcakes

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder, and a pinch of salt. In a separate bowl, cream together ½ cup of softened butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time, and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with ½ cup of milk. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cupcakes cool completely before decorating.

2

Prepare the buttercream frosting

In a large bowl, beat 1 cup of softened butter until creamy. Gradually add 4 cups of powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, and continue beating until well combined. Mix in 2 teaspoons of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy. Optional: Add a few drops of food coloring to achieve your desired shade.

3

Decorate with floral designs

Fit a piping bag with a large round tip and fill it with the buttercream frosting. Starting from the center of each cupcake, pipe a small swirl to create the base of the floral design. Next, attach an edible flower to the center of the swirl. Arrange additional edible flowers or petals around the center in a circular pattern. Feel free to get creative with different color combinations and flower arrangements!
