Take note
Use caution when working with hot glue guns and sharp objects. Adult supervision may be required for younger crafters.
Before diving into the crafting fun, make sure you have all the necessary supplies on hand. You will need colorful cardstock, wrapping paper, wooden dowels, clear cellophane, ribbon, scissors, a hot glue gun, and markers or colored pencils.
Cut out a large circle from the cardstock to serve as the base of your lollipop. This can be any size you prefer but aim for a diameter of around 6 inches. Take a wooden dowel and attach it to the back of the circle using hot glue. Make sure it's securely attached.
Wrap the cardstock circle and dowel with colorful wrapping paper. This step is optional but adds a festive touch to your lollipop craft. Secure the wrapping paper with a dab of hot glue at the back, ensuring it's smooth and neat.
Cut a long strip of clear cellophane, about 2 inches wide. Starting from the top of the dowel, twist the strip of cellophane around the dowel in a spiral motion, creating a lollipop swirl effect. Secure the top end of the cellophane with a small dab of hot glue.
Use markers or colored pencils to draw swirls or patterns on the cardstock base. Get creative and make each lollipop unique! You can also tie a colorful ribbon around the dowel, just below the lollipop swirl, to add a decorative touch.
