Take note
Just a friendly reminder: although this bento box will make your taste buds do the hula, please be cautious if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Also, remember to pack your bento box in a cooler or refrigerator to keep everything fresh and safe to consume.
Start by cooking some sushi rice according to the package instructions. Once the rice is cooked, let it cool slightly so you can handle it without burning your fingertips. Take a small handful of rice and shape it into a ball. Repeat this process to make as many rice balls as you like (aim for at least two to three). To make your rice balls look like adorable sandcastles, use your fingers or a spoon to create textured patterns on the outside. You can even add a small seaweed flag on top using a toothpick or an edible marker!
Gather an assortment of your favorite fruits, such as watermelon, pineapple, grapes, and strawberries. Cut the fruits into bite-sized pieces, making sure they are not too large to fit on a skewer. Grab some wooden skewers and start threading the fruit onto them, alternating colors and varieties for a vibrant and tasty treat. Keep threading until you have a few kabobs ready to impress. If you want to get fancy, you can even add a mini paper umbrella to each skewer for that extra tropical touch!
