Take note
Please drink responsibly and only enjoy this delicious cocktail if you are of legal drinking age.
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, 2 cinnamon sticks, 4 whole cloves, and 4 star anise pods. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool. Once cooled, strain the syrup into a jar and discard the spices.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 2 ounces of whiskey, 1 ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1/2 ounce of Winter Spice Syrup, and 1/2 ounce of egg white. Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds to chill and froth up the cocktail.
Place a strainer over a rocks glass filled with ice. Strain the cocktail into the glass, allowing the ice to help chill the drink further. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, a sprig of rosemary, or a twist of lemon peel. Sip and savor the cozy winter flavors!
