Roll up your sleeves and learn the art of making Lefse, the Norwegian potato flatbread. Bring authentic Scandinavian flavors to your table!
Take note
Be careful while handling hot potatoes or rolling out the dough. And remember, eating too much Lefse might make you start speaking with a Norwegian accent!
Peel and boil 5 large russet potatoes until tender. Drain the potatoes and mash them thoroughly until no lumps remain. Let the mashed potatoes cool completely.
In a large bowl, combine the cooled mashed potatoes, ¼ cup melted butter, ¼ cup heavy cream, 1 teaspoon salt, and 2 cups all-purpose flour. Mix until the dough comes together and forms a smooth ball.
