Add a burst of fruity goodness to your cruffins! Our recipe will guide you on how to incorporate fresh fruits into your cruffins for a taste of summer.
Take note
Be careful not to overstuff your cruffins with fruits, as it may cause them to burst during baking. Also, make sure to let the cruffins cool slightly before eating, as the fruits will be hot.
In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 packet of instant yeast. Mix well.
Pour in 1/2 cup of warm milk, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, and 1 beaten egg into the dry ingredients. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Choose your favorite fruits, such as strawberries, blueberries, or peaches. Wash and chop the fruits into small pieces.
After the dough has risen, punch it down gently and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread the chopped fruits evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Starting from one short end, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut the log into 6 equal portions.
Place the cruffins in a greased muffin tin and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool slightly before indulging!
