Take note
Caution: French press coffee can be highly addictive. Once you taste the difference, you may never go back to regular drip coffee!
Start by grinding your coffee beans to a coarse consistency. We recommend using a burr grinder to achieve that perfect grind size.
Place the desired amount of coffee grounds into the French press. A general guideline is one tablespoon (7-8 grams) of coffee per cup of water. Pour hot water (just off the boil) over the coffee, filling the French press about halfway.
Give the coffee and water a gentle stir to ensure all the grounds are fully saturated. Allow the coffee to bloom for about 30 seconds before proceeding to the next step. This blooming process helps to release the coffee's flavors.
Attach the plunger, but don't press down just yet. Let the coffee steep for 4 minutes. When the time is up, press the plunger down slowly and steadily to separate the brewed coffee from the grounds.
Pour the freshly brewed coffee into your favorite mug or cup. Take a moment to inhale the aromatic goodness, then sip and savor the delicious flavors. Ah, pure bliss!
