Indulge in the comforting flavors of a ground beef taco casserole. This easy-to-make recipe will have your taste buds dancing!
Take note
Be careful when handling hot ingredients and sharp utensils. Also, be sure to use oven mitts when taking the casserole out of the oven to avoid burning your hands.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Make sure to crumble the beef as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked ground beef. Stir well to evenly distribute the seasoning. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a greased baking dish, layer half of the tortilla chips on the bottom. Top with half of the beef mixture, followed by half of the shredded cheese. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on it to prevent the chips from burning.
Once the casserole is out of the oven, garnish it with your favorite toppings such as chopped tomatoes, sliced green onions, sour cream, or guacamole. Serve hot and enjoy!
