Experience a savory delight with our ham and cheese stuffed French Toast recipe! Breakfast just got a whole lot more delicious.
Take note
Be careful not to overcrowd the pan when cooking the French toast, as it can make flipping a bit challenging.
Gather the following ingredients: 4 slices of bread, 4 slices of ham, 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or Swiss work great), 2 large eggs, 1/4 cup milk, salt and pepper to taste, butter for cooking.
Take two slices of bread and place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese between them to create a sandwich. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread, ham, and cheese.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Dip each ham and cheese sandwich into the French toast mixture, making sure to coat both sides evenly. Let any excess mixture drip off.
Melt a pat of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the coated sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Repeat with the remaining sandwiches.
Transfer the cooked stuffed French toast to a plate and cut diagonally to reveal the ooey-gooey goodness inside. Serve hot and enjoy the melty, savory delight!
