Take note
Caution: Once you try these nachos, there's no going back to ordinary toppings. Prepare to be forever spoiled!
First things first, let's prep that delicious Duck Confit. Start by preheating your oven to 325°F (163°C). Next, place your duck legs in an oven-safe dish, season them generously with salt, pepper, and any other spices you fancy. Cover the dish with foil and pop it in the oven. Let the duck legs cook low and slow for about 2 hours or until they are fork-tender and falling off the bone. Once done, remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly. Once cool enough to handle, shred the meat off the bones using two forks. Set aside until needed.
Now, it's time to get those nachos ready for the grand assembly! Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grab a baking sheet and spread out a single layer of your favorite tortilla chips. Sprinkle on a generous amount of shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack are good choices). Then, scatter on some of that delectable shredded Duck Confit we prepped earlier. Add another layer of chips and repeat the cheese and Duck Confit layers until you've used up all your ingredients or reached your desired nacho height.
