Transform regular Rice Krispie Treats into adorable Frankenstein monsters! A fun and creative way to enjoy a classic dessert.
Take note
Be careful when handling hot marshmallow mixture, as it can be sticky and hot. Make sure to let your treats cool completely before decorating to avoid melting any decorations.
In a large saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add 4 cups of mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and add 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated. Press the mixture evenly into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Once the Rice Krispie Treats have cooled and set, remove them from the baking dish. Use a Frankenstein-shaped cookie cutter to cut out individual treats. If you don't have a cookie cutter, you can also use a knife to carefully cut out Frankenstein shapes.
Now it's time to bring your Frankenstein treats to life! Use green icing to frost the tops of the treats and create Frankenstein's face. Add candy eyes, a chocolate sprinkle mouth, and tiny candy-colored fondant bolts for his neck bolts. You can also use black icing to draw on eyebrows and scars.
