Beat the heat with our refreshing recipe for a chilled matcha latte. Perfect for those hot summer days or whenever you need a cool caffeine fix!
Take note
1. Be careful not to spill the ingredients while mixing, unless you want to matcha-strophe on your hands!
Scoop 2 teaspoons of matcha powder into a mug. Add 2 ounces of hot water (not boiling) and whisk vigorously until the matcha is dissolved and frothy.
In a separate glass, combine 1 tablespoon of honey or sweetener of your choice with 1 tablespoon of hot water. Stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
Pour the sweetened mixture into the matcha mug and stir until well combined.
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour in 1 cup of your choice of milk (regular, almond, soy, etc.). Then, slowly pour the matcha mixture over the ice and milk.
Place a lid on the glass and give it a good shake to mix everything together and chill it even further.
Remove the lid, add a straw if you fancy, and sip your way to matcha bliss. Ahh! You did it!
