Quench your thirst with our homemade Refreshing Raspberry Iced Tea! Sweet, tangy, and perfect for hot summer days.
Take note
Be careful when handling hot liquids and sharp kitchen utensils, and always watch out for brain freeze when enjoying your icy cold beverage!
Start by boiling 4 cups of water in a kettle or saucepan. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, remove it from the heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags and discard them.
While the tea is still hot, stir in 1 cup of fresh or frozen raspberries. The heat will help release their flavorful goodness into the tea. Let the tea cool to room temperature, allowing the raspberries to infuse their fruity essence.
Once the tea has cooled, add 1/4 cup of granulated sugar or your preferred sweetener. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved. If you prefer a sweeter tea, feel free to adjust the amount of sugar to suit your taste buds.
To remove the raspberry seeds, strain the tea into a pitcher or large jug. Press the raspberries against the strainer with a spoon to extract maximum flavor. Pop the pitcher into the refrigerator and let the tea chill for at least 1 hour, or until thoroughly cooled.
Fill glasses or mason jars with ice cubes, pour in the chilled raspberry tea, and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a lemon slice. Take a sip, close your eyes, and feel the refreshing raspberry goodness dance on your taste buds. Ahh, pure bliss!
