Indulge in enchanting flavor with our recipe for Cinderella's Midnight Mints! A sweet treat fit for a princess, perfect for any magical occasion.
Take note
Caution: These mints may disappear faster than a pumpkin at midnight. Make sure to hide a few for yourself before they vanish!
In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of powdered sugar, 1/4 cup of softened butter, and 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract. Stir until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
Gradually add in 2 tablespoons of milk and continue stirring until the mixture forms a thick dough. If the dough seems too sticky, sprinkle in a little extra powdered sugar.
Take small portions of the dough and roll them into tiny balls, about the size of a marble. Place the balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Pop the baking sheet into the refrigerator and let the mints chill for at least 30 minutes. This will help them firm up and hold their shape.
Melt 1 cup of dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water. Stir until smooth and shiny.
Using a fork, gently lower each chilled mint ball into the melted chocolate, making sure it gets completely coated. Lift the mint out with the fork and tap off any excess chocolate. Place the mint back onto the baking sheet and sprinkle it with a pinch of edible glitter.
Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or pop the baking sheet back into the fridge for a few minutes to speed up the process. Once the chocolate is firm, Cinderella's Midnight Mints are ready to be enjoyed!
