Set it and forget it with our slow cooker rice pudding recipe. A hassle-free way to enjoy a warm and satisfying dessert!
Take note
Be careful when handling hot items from the slow cooker. Remember to always use oven mitts or kitchen towels to protect your hands.
In a slow cooker, combine 1 cup of rice, 4 cups of whole milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir everything together until well mixed.
Cover the slow cooker with its lid and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours. Stir the mixture occasionally to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom.
After 3-4 hours, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/2 cup of raisins into the slow cooker. Stir everything together and continue cooking for an additional 30 minutes.
Once the rice pudding is creamy and the rice is tender, it's ready to be devoured! Serve it warm in bowls and feel free to sprinkle more cinnamon on top for extra flavor.
