Don't have a pizza stone? No problem! Our Neapolitan Pizza recipe will show you how to achieve a deliciously crispy crust, even without a stone.
Take note
Be cautious while working with an oven. Always use oven mitts to protect your hands from burns.
Preheat your oven to the highest temperature possible, usually around 500°F (260°C). We want it blazing hot to mimic the intense heat of a pizza stone.
Roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Make it as thin or thick as you prefer, keeping in mind that a thinner crust will cook faster and crisp up nicely.
Grab a baking tray or an upside-down baking sheet and sprinkle it with cornmeal or flour. This will prevent your dough from sticking and create a nice crusty base.
Carefully transfer your rolled-out dough onto the prepared baking tray or upside-down baking sheet. Take your time to avoid tearing or misshaping the crust.
Now the fun part! Add your favorite pizza sauce, cheeses, and toppings. Be adventurous and creative with your choices! Just remember not to overload the pizza, as it may become soggy.
Place your pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown and the cheese is bubbling and deliciously melted.
Once your pizza comes out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes to avoid burning your tongue (we've all been there). Then, slice it up and savor each bite of your homemade Neapolitan pizza!
