Sink your teeth into Vampire Fang cookies! These fang-tastic treats will add a bite of sweetness to your Halloween celebrations!
Take note
Be careful not to accidentally bite someone while wearing these fang-tastic cookies. They may look like real vampire fangs, but they're definitely not edible!
First things first, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). We need to create the perfect baking environment for our vampire fangs.
In a mixing bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix them well together, just like the perfect blend of vampire and human blood.
In a separate bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened butter and 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar. This step should be done with flair, like a vampire elegantly seducing their victim.
To the butter and sugar mixture, add 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix them until they're perfectly combined, just like a vampire couple forever bound by eternal love.
Now it's time to slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix them together until a dough forms. It should be smooth and oh-so-tempting, just like a vampire's charm.
Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a log shape. Then, flatten it slightly and curve the sides inward, resembling the shape of a vampire fang. Repeat this process until all the dough is used up.
Place the shaped fangs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake them in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until they turn golden brown. Keep an eye on them, just like you would if a vampire was lurking nearby.
Once the fangs are baked to perfection, remove them from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack. Be patient, just like waiting for the sun to set and the vampires to come out to play.
To make your Vampire Fang cookies truly fang-tastic, melt some white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and dip the tips of the fangs into the melted chocolate. Allow them to cool and harden before serving.
