Take note
Caution: These cake pops may invoke shrieks of delight, causing sudden disappearances at your Halloween party.
Bake your favorite cake mix according to the package instructions. Let it cool completely.
Once the cake has cooled, crumble it into a large bowl. Use your hands or a fork to break it into fine crumbs.
Add 1/2 cup of your favorite frosting to the crumbled cake. Mix well until the cake crumbs and frosting are fully combined and the mixture is sticky.
Using your hands, roll the cake mixture into small balls, about the size of a ping pong ball. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Carefully insert a cake pop stick into each cake ball, making sure it goes about halfway through. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts according to the package instructions. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Take one cake pop at a time and dip it into the melted candy melts, covering the entire cake ball. Allow any excess coating to drip off.
While the candy coating is still wet, place a candy eyeball in the center of each cake pop. Use a toothpick or a clean brush to add red veins around the eyeball. Get creative with different patterns!
Place the finished cake pops back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Let them set at room temperature until the candy coating hardens.
Display your Monster Eyeball Cake Pops on a spooky platter, and watch them disappear before your eyes! Enjoy the eerie delight.
