Sip in style with our Edible Glass cups recipe! Learn how to make beautiful cups out of caramelized sugar for a unique and edible serving vessel.
Take note
Caution: Hot sugar can cause burns. Please exercise caution and use protective gloves when handling caramelized sugar.
Make sure you have a clean and spacious workspace to work with. Lay out all the necessary equipment and ingredients so everything is easily accessible.
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat 1 cup of granulated sugar over medium-low heat. Stir constantly until the sugar melts and turns into a golden brown caramel.
Working quickly and carefully, pour the hot caramel into silicone mold cups. Tilt and swirl the cups to evenly coat the sides. Let the caramel cool and harden completely.
Gently press on the bottom of each silicone mold cup to release the caramel cup. If the cup doesn't come out easily, you can slightly twist the mold to help loosen it.
Place your favorite drink, whether it's a cocktail or a refreshing beverage, in the beautiful edible glass cup. Sip in style and impress your guests with this unique serving vessel.
