Let the festive glow shine through with our zesty 'Lightbulb Margarita' recipe! A twist on the classic cocktail that will make your taste buds sparkle.
Take note
Please remember to drink responsibly and don't drink and drive. Also, be careful when working with glass bulbs as they can break. Use them at your own risk!
Juice the lemons, limes, and oranges to get that tangy, citrusy goodness. You can use a juicer or squeeze them manually. Just make sure to strain the juice to remove any seeds or pulp.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the citrus juices, tequila, triple sec, and simple syrup. Add a handful of ice and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. This will ensure that everything is mixed well and chilled.
Carefully remove the metal part of the lightbulbs, leaving only the glass portion. Clean the bulbs thoroughly to remove any dust or debris. You can also sterilize them by boiling in water for a few minutes.
Using a funnel, slowly pour the margarita mixture into the glass lightbulbs. Fill them up about three-quarters of the way, leaving some space at the top for garnishes.
Now comes the fun part! Cut a small slit in the lime wheel and slide it onto the rim of the lightbulb. Add a sprig of mint for a refreshing touch. Finally, place the lightbulbs on a tray filled with crushed ice and serve them to your eager guests!
