First things first, make sure you have gathered all your ingredients. You'll need 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 cup of chopped toffee. Get these items together and place them within easy reach.
Now, it's time to mix up some magic. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined, then fold in the chopped toffee. Yum!
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners. Fill each liner about two-thirds full with the cupcake batter. Once your cupcakes are baked to golden perfection, remove them from the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
