Wow your guests with our 'seafood paella' recipe! It's a captivating blend of succulent seafood, aromatic spices, and fluffy saffron rice.
Take note
Be cautious when handling the hot paella pan and while cooking the seafood to avoid burns.
Collect all the necessary ingredients for your seafood paella. This includes shrimp, mussels, clams, squid, saffron, bell peppers, tomatoes, onion, garlic, rice, chicken broth, paprika, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
Clean and devein the shrimp. Scrub the mussels and remove any beards. Rinse the clams thoroughly. Slice the squid into rings. Chop the bell peppers, tomatoes, onion, and garlic.
Heat some olive oil in a large paella pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until softened. Then, add the bell peppers and tomatoes, and sauté until they start to release their juices.
Stir in the rice and sauté for a couple of minutes, allowing it to absorb the flavors. Add saffron threads for a vibrant yellow color. Sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.
Pour in the chicken broth and combine everything well. Let the mixture come to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Gently nestle the cleaned shrimp, mussels, clams, and squid into the simmering rice mixture. Cover the paella pan with a lid and cook for another 10-12 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.
Remove the paella pan from the heat and let it rest, covered, for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Serve the seafood paella hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
