Make sure you have all the necessary ingredients for your jazzed-up blueberry scones. You'll need: 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold and cubed), 1/2 cup buttermilk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 cup fresh blueberries, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar for garnish.
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This will ensure your scones bake evenly and develop a golden crust.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Give it a good mix to ensure all the dry ingredients are evenly combined.
