Take note
Be cautious while handling sharp objects and ensure all grilling is done in a safe and properly ventilated area. Remember to always use oven mitts or gloves when handling hot items.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Peel back the husks from each ear of corn, but leave them attached at the base. Remove the silk from the corn by peeling it down. Carefully pull the husks back up to cover the corn again. Soak the corn in a large bowl of cold water for about 10 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh herbs (such as parsley, thyme, and chives), 1 clove of minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Remove the corn from the water and shake off any excess moisture. Carefully pull back the husks again, and spread the herb butter mixture onto each ear of corn. Pull the husks back up to cover the corn.
Place the corn on the preheated grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the corn is tender and lightly charred, turning occasionally. The husks will start to brown and may even catch fire slightly, but that's okay!
Remove the corn from the grill and let it cool slightly. Carefully peel back the husks, using them as a handle. Serve the leveled-up grilled corn with herb butter and enjoy the explosion of flavors!
