1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). It's time to get that oven nice and toasty for your gourmet meatloaf.

2

Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound (450g) ground beef, 1/2 cup (120ml) breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup (60ml) milk, 1/4 cup (60ml) ketchup, 1 small finely chopped onion, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1/4 cup (60ml) Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.

3

Shape the Meatloaf

Transfer the meat mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Shape it into a loaf shape using your hands. Make sure it's compact and evenly shaped.

4

Prepare the Glaze

In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup (60ml) ketchup, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, and 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. This glaze will add a delicious flavor to your gourmet meatloaf.

5

Glaze the Meatloaf

Using a pastry brush or the back of a spoon, generously brush the glaze over the top of the meatloaf. Make sure to cover the entire surface.

6

Bake the Meatloaf

Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). The glaze should be caramelized and the meatloaf should be cooked through.

7

Let it Rest

Once the meatloaf is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute and make it easier to slice.
