Add a cheesy twist to your Cloud Eggs with our recipe! Indulge in the gooey deliciousness of this fluffy and flavorful breakfast option.
Take note
Be cautious of overcooking the eggs, as they can become too crispy. And be prepared for some serious cheesy goodness that might just make you want more!
Start by carefully separating the egg whites from the yolks. You'll need 4 eggs for this recipe, so make sure you keep the yolks intact without breaking them.
Grab a bowl and whisk the egg whites until you see soft peaks forming. This might take a few minutes, so feel free to get creative with your whisking technique. Whisk away!
Now, here comes the ooey-gooey part. Sprinkle some shredded cheese (cheddar works great) onto the whipped egg whites. Be generous with the cheese, because we're going for maximum cheesiness here.
Spoon the cheesy egg white mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make small cloud-like mounds, leaving a little well in the center of each. This is where the yolks will go!
Carefully place an egg yolk into each well you created in the clouds. Pop the baking sheet into a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for about 6-8 minutes until the clouds are lightly golden and the yolks are still slightly runny.
Once the cheesy clouds are cooked to perfection, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Then gently transfer them onto plates and sprinkle some salt and pepper on top. Enjoy the fluffy, cheesy, and yolky deliciousness!
