Take note
Be careful not to drop the eggs when peeling them. Hot water can burn, so handle it with care.
Place your eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil and let it cook for about 10 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool them rapidly. When they're cool enough to handle, gently tap and roll them on a hard surface to crack the shell. Then, peel off the shell under running water.
After peeling all the eggs, slice them in half lengthwise. This will give you two equal halves to work with. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a separate bowl. Arrange the egg white halves on a serving platter.
Using a fork, mash the egg yolks until they are crumbly. Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like. Mix everything together until creamy and smooth. If you want to get fancy, you can also add some chopped herbs, chopped pickles, or even some bacon bits.
Now comes the fun part! Spoon or pipe the yolk filling back into the hollowed-out egg white halves. You can be as artistic as you like with the presentation. Smooth the tops with a spoon or decorate them with a swirl or a sprinkle of paprika, chives, or bacon bits.
