Blast off into nostalgia with our homemade Retro Rocket Ice Pops! Fun, colorful, and bursting with fruity flavors - summer just got cooler.
Take note
Handle dry ice with caution. It can cause burns if it comes into direct contact with your skin. Make sure to use oven mitts or tongs when handling it. Also, be careful when removing the ice pops from their molds, as they can be slippery.
Start by gathering your favorite fruits and pureeing them in a blender or food processor. You can use any combination of fruits you like, but make sure to remove any seeds or pits beforehand. Feel free to get creative with your flavors!
Once you have a smooth fruit puree, add some sweetener of your choice. This can be honey, agave syrup, or even sugar if you prefer. Squeeze in a little lemon juice as well to brighten up the flavors. Give it a taste and adjust the sweetness and tartness to your liking.
Now it's time to bring out the rocket molds! Pour the fruit puree mixture into the molds, making sure to leave a little space at the top for expansion when they freeze. If you have any leftover puree, save it for later or enjoy it as a delicious smoothie.
Carefully insert the sticks into the center of each mold. Place the molds in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results. The longer they freeze, the more solid and refreshing your ice pops will be.
Once your Retro Rocket Ice Pops are completely frozen, it's time for the exciting part - unmolding! Gently remove the rocket molds by running them under warm water for a few seconds to loosen the pops. Give them a gentle tug and voila! You're ready to take a journey back in time with these delicious treats.
