Brighten up your New Year's table with our Citrus Sparkling Jello Slices. Tangy citrus fruits suspended in a sparkling jello, creating a refreshing and zesty treat.
Take note
Be careful while handling sharp knives when cutting the fruits. Also, make sure to follow the instructions on the jello packet for the best results.
Start by washing the citrus fruits thoroughly. Then, use a sharp knife to slice them into thin rounds. Remove any seeds you come across.
In a saucepan, combine the sparkling water and the jello powder. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously, until the powder is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
In a glass baking dish, arrange a layer of citrus slices at the bottom. Pour a thin layer of the cooled jello mixture over the citrus slices, covering them evenly. Repeat the process, alternating layers of citrus slices and jello, until you've used up all the slices and jello mixture. Make sure the top layer is jello.
Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the jello to chill and set for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Once the jello is set, remove it from the refrigerator. Carefully cut the jello into slices, ensuring each slice has a beautiful citrus round in the center. Serve chilled and enjoy!
