Wake up to the heavenly aroma of freshly baked brioche! Our fluffy recipe will transport you to a Parisian bakery. Bon appétit!
Take note
Please note that this guide requires some basic baking skills and a little bit of patience, as brioche dough needs plenty of time to rise. Also, watch out for the temptation to eat it all in one sitting!
In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix well. In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs and 1/2 cup of warm milk. Gradually add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a sticky dough forms.
Now comes the fun part! Cut 1 stick of unsalted butter into small pieces and gradually incorporate them into the dough. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Don't be afraid to get your hands a little messy, it's all part of the brioche adventure!
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm spot for about 2 hours, or until it doubles in size. This is the perfect time to relax, sip on a cup of coffee, and dream about the delicious brioche that awaits you.
Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release any air bubbles. Divide the dough into three equal parts and roll them into long ropes. Braid the ropes together and place the brioche on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let it rise for another hour.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the brioche for 25-30 minutes, or until it turns golden brown. Keep an eye on it, as baking times may vary depending on your oven. Once it's done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly before indulging in its fluffy goodness.
