No magic wand needed! Our recipe for Cauldron Cakes gives you the taste of wizardry, even if you're a Muggle.
Take note
Beware of sneaky house-elves trying to steal your Cauldron Cakes! Also, be careful when handling hot ingredients and always ask for permission from Professor Snape before using his cauldron.
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well mixed and set aside.
In a separate bowl, beat 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients while stirring constantly. Mix until you have a thick batter.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line it with cupcake liners. Spoon the batter evenly into the muffin cups, filling each one about 3/4 of the way. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once the Cauldron Cakes have cooled, it's time to work your decorating magic! You can use chocolate frosting to create the illusion of cauldron handles on top of each cake. You can also use edible silver or gold dust to add a touch of wizardry.
