Bring a touch of floral elegance to your Potion Pops with our Edible Flower Ice Cubes recipe. Freeze the beauty and taste the wonder!
Take note
Remember to only use edible flowers that are safe for consumption. If you are unsure about a particular flower, it's always best to do some research or consult an expert.
Start by gathering a selection of edible flowers. Popular choices include pansies, violets, marigolds, and rose petals. Make sure to pick flowers that are fresh and pesticide-free.
Thoroughly clean your ice cube tray to ensure it is free from any unwanted flavors or residues. If you want to add a little extra elegance to your ice cubes, try using a silicone mold in a shape that complements your Potion Pops.
Carefully place your chosen edible flowers into each compartment of the ice cube tray. You can either place a whole flower or separate the petals and distribute them evenly. Get creative and mix different types of flowers in each cube!
Fill the ice cube tray with water, being careful not to displace the flowers. Use filtered or boiled water if you want the ice cubes to be crystal clear. Avoid overfilling the compartments; leave a little space for the water to expand during freezing.
Place the tray with the edible flowers and water in the freezer. Allow the ice cubes to freeze completely, which usually takes around 4-6 hours. For best results, leave them overnight.
Once the ice cubes are fully frozen, they are ready to add some magic to your Potion Pops. Simply pop them out of the tray and place them in your favorite drinks!
