Take note
Be cautious when working with an open flame and a hot grill. Always use appropriate safety measures and avoid flare-ups.
Preheat your grill to high heat. This will ensure a nice sear on the steak.
Generously season both sides of the ribeye with salt and pepper. You can also add your favorite spices or marinade for extra flavor.
Using tongs and a paper towel soaked in vegetable oil, oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
Carefully place the ribeye on the hot grill. Close the lid and let it cook for about 4-6 minutes, depending on your desired level of doneness.
Using tongs, flip the ribeye to the other side and cook for another 4-6 minutes. This will give you medium-rare to medium doneness. Adjust the cooking time if you prefer your steak more or less cooked.
Remove the ribeye from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more flavorful and tender steak. Slice and serve!
