Wow your friends with this fancy Prosecco Jelly! Delight their taste buds with a burst of bubbly goodness and shimmering edible gold stars.
Take note
Please remember that this recipe contains alcohol and is intended for adults only. Also, make sure to use edible gold stars and not actual glitter. We don't want anyone accidentally biting into non-edible gold!
Gather all the necessary items for your Prosecco Jelly adventure. You'll need 2 cups of Prosecco, 1/4 cup of sugar, 3 gelatin sheets or 2 tablespoons of powdered gelatin, a pinch of salt, and a handful of edible gold stars.
If you're using gelatin sheets, soak them in cold water for about 5 minutes until they become soft and pliable. If you're using powdered gelatin, follow the instructions on the package to soften it.
In a small saucepan, pour in the Prosecco and add the sugar and salt. Heat the mixture over low heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Don't let it boil!
Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the saucepan from heat. Squeeze any excess water from the softened gelatin sheets and add them to the warm Prosecco mixture. If you're using powdered gelatin, sprinkle it over the Prosecco and whisk it in.
Grab a whisk and gently stir the Prosecco mixture until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Take your edible gold stars and sprinkle a few into each serving glass or mold that you'll be using. Make sure they're evenly distributed so every bite will have a touch of shimmer. Reserve some stars for garnishing later.
Carefully pour the cooled Prosecco mixture into the prepared glasses or molds. Fill them almost to the top, leaving a bit of space for the jelly to set. Don't worry if some of the gold stars float to the surface; they'll create a whimsical effect!
Place your Prosecco Jelly creations in the refrigerator and let them chill for at least 3-4 hours or until they are beautifully set. The anticipation will be worth it!
When it's time to impress your guests, carefully unmold the Prosecco Jelly or serve it directly from the glasses. Feel free to garnish with a sprinkle of reserved gold stars for that extra touch of elegance. Cheers!
