Experience a flavor bursting with shimmer and shine! Learn how to infuse holographic flavors into homemade hard candies for a taste that's out of this world.
Take note
Handle these holographic candies with care as they may cause temporary feelings of otherworldly euphoria! Also, be cautious when working with hot sugar syrups to avoid burns.
Before you venture into the holographic candy world, gather the following items: 1 cup of granulated sugar, 1/3 cup of light corn syrup, 1/4 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of holographic flavor extract, holographic food coloring (a few drops), candy molds, and candy thermometer.
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir gently until the sugar is fully dissolved. Attach the candy thermometer to the side of the saucepan and let the mixture boil without stirring until it reaches the hard crack stage (around 300°F or 150°C).
