Take note
Handle the ingredients and hot candy syrup with caution to prevent burns. Keep children and pets away from the cooking area.
First things first, let's gather all the ingredients you'll need to make these holographic wonders. Round up: 2 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup of light corn syrup, 3/4 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of flavor extract (like raspberry or lemon), food coloring (we recommend using holographic colors like iridescent silver and pearl white), and edible holographic glitter dust.
In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Once the mixture comes to a boil, stop stirring and let it cook until it reaches the hard crack stage (around 300°F or 150°C on a candy thermometer).
Once the candy mixture reaches the hard crack stage, remove it from the heat and carefully stir in the flavor extract. Add a few drops of food coloring to achieve your desired holographic effect. Mix well to evenly distribute the colors.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it with cooking spray. Carefully pour the hot candy mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Tilt the sheet slightly to spread the candy into an even layer. Sprinkle holographic glitter dust on top for that mesmerizing holographic sparkle!
Allow the candy to cool and harden completely, which should take about 1 hour. Once it's completely set, break it into smaller, bite-sized pieces. Admire the holographic goodness before indulging in these magical sweets!
