Impress your guests with a mouthwatering Pavlova dessert. Crunchy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, topped with fresh fruit.
Take note
Keep in mind that Pavlova can be a bit delicate, so handle it with care. Also, make sure to have all the ingredients ready before you start.
Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). In a large bowl, whisk egg whites until they form stiff peaks. Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while whisking continuously. Keep whisking until the mixture becomes thick and glossy.
Sprinkle cornstarch and vinegar over the meringue mixture. Gently fold them in using a spatula, ensuring that everything is well combined.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spoon the meringue mixture onto the sheet, forming a round shape with slightly raised edges. Smooth the top with the back of a spoon, creating a well in the center.
Pop the Pavlova into the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour. After that, turn off the oven and let the Pavlova cool completely inside the oven. This will help keep its lovely texture intact.
Once the Pavlova has cooled, carefully transfer it to a serving plate. Fill the well in the center with whipped cream and top it off with a generous amount of fresh fruit. Be creative and use your favorite fruits!
