Gather your favorite sushi ingredients such as sushi rice, nori sheets, thinly sliced fish or other proteins, avocado, cucumber, and any other toppings you desire. Also, prepare a small bowl of water to moisten your hands while assembling the burrito.
Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat and wet your hands in the bowl of water to prevent sticking. Take a handful of sushi rice and evenly spread it over the nori, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
On the lower two-thirds of the sushi rice, layer your chosen fillings. Be creative and mix and match flavors and textures! Just make sure not to overstuff the burrito, or it will be hard to roll.
Using the bamboo sushi mat, start rolling the sushi burrito from the bottom, applying gentle pressure to keep the fillings intact. Once rolled, moisten the top edge of the nori with water to seal the burrito.
With a sharp knife, carefully slice the sushi burrito into bite-sized pieces. Arrange them on a plate or wrap them in a sushi mat for easy serving. Dip in soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce, and enjoy your homemade sushi burrito!
