1

Prepare the batter

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 and a half teaspoons of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt. In a separate bowl, cream together 1/2 cup of unsalted butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time, then mix in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, alternating with 1 cup of milk, beginning and ending with the dry mixture. Mix until just combined.

2

Fill the cauldron molds

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cauldron-shaped silicone mold with cooking spray. Fill each cauldron cavity halfway with the batter. Make sure to leave enough room for the molten center to be added later.

3

Prepare the molten centers

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted. Stir in 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until fully incorporated. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the molten chocolate mixture into each cauldron cavity, on top of the batter.

4

Bake and cool

Place the filled cauldron mold onto a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges of the cakes are golden brown and the centers are set. Remove from the oven and let them cool in the mold for 5 minutes. Carefully remove the cakes from the mold and let them cool completely on a wire rack.

5

Decorate and enjoy

Once the cakes are completely cooled, use black icing or melted dark chocolate to draw a cauldron shape on the top of each cake. You can also add some colorful sprinkles for a touch of magic! Serve at room temperature and enjoy the enchanting experience of biting into the gooey molten centers!
