In a separate saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute, until the mixture is smooth and bubbling. Slowly pour in 2 cups of milk, whisking constantly, until the sauce thickens. Stir in 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Now, it's time to bring on the truffle! Add 2 tablespoons of truffle oil and a pinch of salt and pepper, stirring well to incorporate all the flavors.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and the truffle-infused cream sauce. Stir until all the macaroni is evenly coated with the creamy goodness. Feel free to do a little happy dance while mixing!
Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle an additional 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese on top for that extra cheesy indulgence. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.
