Get ready for a fiesta with our easy and flavorful 'Fresh Tomato Salsa' recipe! The perfect way to add some spice to your chips and tacos.
Take note
Be careful when handling fresh chili peppers, as they can cause skin irritation. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly after handling them.
Get together 4 ripe tomatoes, 1 small onion, 1 jalapeno pepper, 1 clove of garlic, a handful of fresh cilantro, the juice of 1 lime, and some salt and pepper.
Finely chop the tomatoes, onion, jalapeno pepper (remove the seeds for a milder salsa), garlic, and cilantro. Place them all in a bowl.
Squeeze the lime juice over the chopped vegetables. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
Gently stir all the ingredients together until well combined. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to mingle and develop.
Once chilled, give the salsa a final stir and serve with your favorite tortilla chips or as a delicious topping for tacos, burritos, or grilled meats. Enjoy the fiesta!
