Indulge in decadence and sparkle with our Gold-leaf Brownies recipe! Bite into pure luxury and let the gold leaf dazzle your taste buds.
Take note
Please note that gold leaf is edible, but it is recommended to use it sparingly and handle it with clean, dry hands. Also, be cautious of any personal allergies or dietary restrictions. And remember, these brownies are so good, they might disappear in a flash!
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of melted butter, 2 cups of granulated sugar, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Melt 1 and 1/2 cups of dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler. Slowly pour the melted chocolate into the butter mixture while stirring continuously.
Carefully add a touch of luxury by placing a sheet of edible gold leaf on top of the brownie batter. Gently press it down with clean, dry fingers. Marvel at the shimmer and shine!
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Gradually incorporate this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool completely.
To truly dazzle with luxury, carefully apply additional gold leaf on top of the cooled brownies. You can create patterns or simply cover the entire surface. Remember, less is more!
