Add a tropical twist to your nachos with our Hawaiian BBQ nachos recipe. Sweet, savory, and full of flavor, these nachos will transport you to the islands!
Take note
Be careful when handling hot ingredients and sharp knives.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it nice and hot for baking the nachos.
In a bowl, combine 2 cups (300g) of shredded cooked chicken with 1/2 cup (120ml) of your favorite barbecue sauce. Mix well until the chicken is evenly coated in the smoky, tangy goodness.
Spread a layer of tortilla chips on a large baking sheet. Make sure to cover the entire sheet with a generous amount of chips.
Evenly distribute the BBQ chicken over the tortilla chips. Spread it out so that each chip gets a taste of the deliciousness.
Sprinkle 1 cup (150g) of diced pineapple over the BBQ chicken. The sweet and tangy pineapple will balance out the smoky flavors.
Generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the toppings. Use as much or as little cheese as you like, depending on your cheesy preferences.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.
Once the nachos are out of the oven, garnish with chopped cilantro and sliced green onions. Serve your Hawaiian BBQ nachos hot and enjoy!
