Start by peeling and coring 3 medium-sized apples. Then, thinly slice the apples and place them in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine 1/4 cup of granulated white sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Sprinkle this mixture over the apple slices and toss until evenly coated.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out a pre-made pie crust into a large rectangle. Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut the rectangle into strips that are about 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide.
Take one apple slice and place it at the end of a pie crust strip. Gently roll the slice up, with the skin side facing out, to create the center of the rose. Continue to add more apple slices around the center, wrapping the pie crust strip around them as you go. Repeat this process until you have created all the mini rose-shaped pies.
Carefully transfer the mini rose-shaped pies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each pie with a beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the pie crust is golden brown and the apple filling is tender. Once baked, let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
