1

Making the Raspberry Ripple Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh or frozen raspberries, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the raspberries have softened and the sugar has dissolved. Use a spoon to mash the raspberries slightly while stirring. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool.

2

Preparing the Ice Cream Base

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of heavy cream, 1 cup of whole milk, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. If you have a vanilla bean, split it open and scrape out the seeds. Add the seeds to the mixture and whisk again. If you don't have a vanilla bean, you can use 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract instead. Mix well until the sugar is fully dissolved.

3

Churning and Swirling

Pour the ice cream base into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. While the ice cream is churning, take the cooled raspberry sauce and swirl it into the ice cream. You can do this by adding spoonfuls of the raspberry sauce at a time and gently swirling it with a spoon or spatula. Don't overmix - you want to create beautiful ribbons of raspberry throughout the ice cream.

4

Freezing and Enjoying

Transfer the ice cream to a lidded container, making sure to layer it with additional spoonfuls of raspberry sauce as you go. This will create even more ripple throughout the ice cream. Put the lid on the container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm. When you're ready to enjoy, scoop into bowls or cones, and savor each dreamy bite of your homemade Reverie Raspberry Ripple Ice Cream!
