Take note
Caution: These fruit roll-ups are so tasty, you may not be able to stop eating them! Also, please make sure to use ripe and delicious strawberries and kiwis for the best flavor.
Wash and hull 2 cups of fresh strawberries. Peel and slice 4 ripe kiwis. It's time to get our fruity ingredients ready!
In a blender, puree the strawberries and kiwis until smooth. If you prefer your roll-ups with some texture, you can leave it slightly chunky. Once blended, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any seeds.
Add sugar or honey to the puree, if desired. Start with a tablespoon and adjust to your preference. Give it a taste and let the sweetness shine!
Preheat your oven to the lowest possible temperature, usually around 140°F (60°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Pour the fruit puree onto the prepared baking sheet and use an offset spatula or the back of a spoon to spread it out evenly. Aim for a thickness of about 1/8 to 1/4 inch.
Pop the baking sheet into the preheated oven and let the puree slowly dehydrate for about 4-6 hours. The roll-ups are ready when they're firm and tacky to the touch, but still pliable.
Once the fruit puree has dried, carefully peel it off the parchment paper. Roll it up tightly, starting from one end, to create those delightful fruit roll-up spirals!
Store your Shimmering Strawberry Kiwi Fruit Roll-ups in an airtight container at room temperature. They'll stay fresh for about a week, but we doubt they'll last that long before you devour them!
