Caution: This guide contains high levels of scrumptiousness that may cause uncontrollable cravings. Proceed with caution!
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grab a large oven-safe baking dish and grease it with a little olive oil or cooking spray. Place the vegetarian roast turkey in the center of the dish and brush it with a flavorful marinade of your choice. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes to soak up all that deliciousness.
While the vegetarian roast turkey marinates, it's time to prepare the stuffing. In a large skillet, melt some butter or heat up a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions, celery, and any other veggies you fancy (carrots, mushrooms, or bell peppers work great too!). Sauté them until they turn golden brown and get aromatic. Season with your favorite herbs and spices - sage, thyme, and rosemary are excellent choices. Once the veggies are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
In a big mixing bowl, combine cooked veggies from step 2 with breadcrumbs, cooked quinoa or rice, and vegetable broth. Give it a good stir until everything is nicely mixed. Add salt and pepper to taste. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a bit more vegetable broth. Get your hands in there and mix it up until the stuffing mixture holds together when squeezed.
Now comes the fun part! Take the marinated vegetarian roast turkey from step 1 and carefully stuff it with the delicious stuffing mixture you just made. Make sure to pack it in tightly, but not too tight. If you have any extra stuffing, you can bake it separately in a dish alongside the roast turkey.
Place the stuffed vegetarian roast turkey in the preheated oven and let it roast for about 1 hour, or until it's nicely browned and heated through. Take a moment to admire the mouthwatering aroma that fills your kitchen. Once it's done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve your vegetarian roast turkey with stuffing, and watch your guests' faces light up with delight!
