Unleash your inner chef and dazzle your senses with our recipe for Gold-dusted Rice Krispie Treats. A touch of sparkle makes everything better!
Take note
Handle the gold dust with care and make sure to keep it away from children or pets. Gold dust is not for consumption and should only be used as a decorative element.
In a large saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Keep stirring until the butter is completely melted and smooth.
Add 6 cups of marshmallows to the melted butter. Stir continuously until the marshmallows are fully melted and well combined with the butter.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and gently fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal. Be careful not to crush the cereal too much as you want some texture in your treats.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Use a spatula or your hands (if they're slightly greased) to press the mixture evenly into the dish. Let it cool and set for about 30 minutes.
Sprinkle a generous amount of gold dust over the top of the Rice Krispie Treats. You can use a small sieve or a fine-mesh strainer to achieve an even dusting. Feel free to go as heavy or as light on the gold as you like!
Cut the Gold-dusted Rice Krispie Treats into squares or rectangles and serve with a big smile! Enjoy the sparkle and the deliciousness!
